In January 2019 I re-started this weight loss journey and lo and behold I have come up with every reason under the sun to skip out on all of the promises I have made to myself and all of the changes that I intended to make. Like most weight loss journeys I started off with a bang - lots of energy and enthusiasm! But it fizzled out.

I started the new year with a fear of change -- a best friend who was moving far away, a job that was set to end this month and a husband who was working out of state which left me at home with a house full of kids to tend to.

It's mid May now and Covid 19 has completely changed the world. My husband is now no longer employed but is back at home and that has been kind of a blessing. The job that I have had for more than 10 years was supposed to be retrenched this month but....I got re-hired. Similar position, similar salary and same group of co-workers.

Very weirdly, this Covid 19 situation has helped me to re-prioritize my thoughts. I no longer worry about the same things, I sleep better and - more importantly - my mind has become focused on the here and the now rather than the future.

My goal right now is very simple - get to One-derland. My weight has been fluctuating from 245 to 237 since January with no discernible loss or change to my bad habits. It is time to make changes - time to move forward - time to lose weight.

My Goals:

Get rid of the alcohol and soda - switch to water, tea and coffee only

Start Tracking my food and calories daily

Goal 3 - MOVING
Start Walking Daily

Start stretching daily

Strength training 3 days a week

Goal 6 - LOSE
Lose 1 to 2 pounds per week

Goal 7 - ONE-DERLAND - Weigh in at 199 or less - Goal Date Dec 20 2020 (my birthday)

Goal 8 - OVERWEIGHT BMI of 30 or below (below 170 pounds) by May 9 2021 (Mother's day)
Yes - that's right - I want to be "overweight". At the moment I am "Obese Class III" with a BMI of 43. So - essentially I need to down to less 169 pounds or less to get to be "overweight".
