Oh wow, just found out that I could log on to this site again. Figured it would be interesting to see where I was a few years ago. Amazing to note that for once I am back here, but at least under the weights that I used to post. In Sept 2016 I joined WW and have managed to lose 40 lbs. Yes as usual my SW was at 236 (lower than the one posted below so many years ago) and I am now sitting at 197....Ok so I fudged the 40 by a couple of ounces...I came back here to see what my head space was back then, how have I changed? Hi everyone, I can't believe that I am once again here, needing to start all over. The good thing about starting over is that you always know more than you did the time before.
I have been a member on and off since 2006. I have gone from 264 to 198, then back up to 250 then down to 219 and now have just again started on my journey when I reached 252. Wow, had I not gained it back I would have reached my ideal weight by now.
What I have learned is that my metabolism is slow and very picky, I have followed a Dr supervised diet at 800 cals and lost the last 30 lbs but as soon as I went back to eating about 1200 cals a day....the weight came back.
I am now working out 4-5 times a week with the Wii Fit and loving it. I will surely start other things but for now getting from couch potato to about 4 hours of working out a week is at least a good start.
Ok so 3rd week of August I started this journey again at 252 lbs. I dropped 10 in 4 weeks which is good and recommended, then hit a wall. Go figure right out of the gate. 3 weeks later and the weight is still about the same 1-2 lbs fluctuation up then down. I was really trying hard to figure it out, as I was getting a bit defeated. Here I am with good habits and still not losing?? really? What is wrong now. So a friend said, are you eating enough? And I thought no way, that can't be it....but I figured I would indulge her and myself and start tracking again. Could you guess? Not even getting 1100 cals in a day. I have gotten so involved in cutting back on everything that I wasn't eating enough to let my body lose.
I have managed this week to get about 1400 cals in a day and I hope (pray) that I can get the scales lower!!
