I'm a married father of 2 who always seems to have too much on his plate to worry about himself. Somehow I need to find a balance in life and a path to get/stay healthy.

Looking to lose 20 pounds or so of fat before trying to put it back on as muscle. My weight as a number isn't really an issue, it's where I'm carrying it.

2020 Update...last Labor Day (2019) I set new goals and worked very hard. Counting every calorie, ensuring I got 10k steps every day, going on increasingly longer runs every Saturday and Sunday morning, and making an effort to eat healthier foods I achieved my goal of over 20 pounds lost by Halloween. I am now down about 30 and doing well maintaining. I run only once a week now but keep pushing to do a little better month by month. Annual physical at the doctors has shown improvements in most categories (cholesterol, blood pressure, BMI, etc.) as well. I currently have a 50 day streak of 10k steps per day (with some over 20k) so I’m not doing perfect but I’m staying on track. Setting goals and telling someone I didn’t want to go back and tell I failed I think was a good mental driver.

1/28/2021 - Between covid and the holidays I've had a good test to see how well my "maintain plan" is working. Gained about 5 or so pounds so still down just under 30 lbs from my peak in 2019. 265 days in a row of over 10k steps. Happy with my progress and will keep looking for ways to get better. Thanks to my sparkfriends!

    Thankfully we're feeling better. It just seemed like a virus that went through the house. My oldest son had symptoms yesterday as well but it seems like a 3 day thing & done. I was back on track yesterday. Lost 1 lb this week. We're expecting 70s

    Removed & trim branches. I started a few seeds Monday & need to get started on a greenhouse soon so we are going to go scavenging for PVC & parts since the price of wood is so high. I'll take pics 😁

    See how I feel today & call the Dr tomorrow if it persists. Its supposed to be warm today 60 lol funny you think 50 is cold but I would too if it had been 80. Hopefully the clear weather sticks around this weekend so we can get a couple dead trees
