Goals for 2020:

1. Fighting for and then maintaining my ideal weight range. Adios to 7 lbs per month. **YES in August, September, October**
2. Clean, update, and organize house - continue removing 7 items a day on average. **Not Quite. Happy with progress made in 2020**
3. check more off my bucket list ***YES***
4 End the year With energy and a great future outlook **YES**
5. Make progress on targeted list of 10 quilting/stitch projects **YES*
6. Read all 10 books on my to read list for 2020.
7. Bike 2020 miles or more. ***COMPLETED***

Word of the year is Encourage. I see promise in 2020 for all.

My Goals:
I'm a crazy bucket list kind of a girl and it's served me well. By pursuing #1, I hope to be able to accomplish the other things on my list including those listed below.

1) Eat a clean diet, nourish my body, my brain, and find myself feeling better than ever before.

2) Bike 100,000 miles after my 50th birthday. As of 11/26/18, I have 87,320 miles to go!

3) #1 on my bucket list is to spend 3 weeks hiking in the Himalayas somewhere tbd. I've been fascinated with many stories about Mt. Everest ever since I read Jon Krakaer's "Into Thin Air." I have contemplated doing this hike for decades, but gave up on the idea after 2006. In 2016 I had a change of heart, change in hope and made this my #1 goal.

I want to do a hike in this area in the next 3-5 years and am on it! It’s definitely a reach for me. I’m not into crowds and prefer places off the beaten path so I likely will not go to Basecamp 1, but somewhere else in the Himalayas or Tibet. We wil

August 2020--BIG CHANGE WITH RESULTS

Dr. Eric Berg, Dr. Jason Fung, Amanda Rose-Eat Like a Bear: Intermittent fasting, whole foods, Carbs target 30-100 per day, mostly from veggies, nuts, seeds, fruit (little), NO processed foods! Life Changing! 21.6 lbs in 53 days. Great energy, super alert.

I'm constantly working with this and I read a lot on diet, nutrition, health, etc. I believe in alternative therapies, and the power of the mind.

Deepak Chopra's book "What are you hungry for?" has captured my attention. Healthy eating but also healthy mind-body thoughts I relate well to. We'll see where this goes. (1/26/19)

I'm going back to the Whole30 plan after discussing this with my dr. I also plan to implement some of what Chopra discussed in his book. It made sense. (3/27/19) Ummmm...recommitting. 12/21/19




Personal Information:
Married, 55 years old, 2 dogs. Work full-time. I Love to travel. The bicycle is my favorite mode of transportation. Last major bike trip was 2 weeks in England, 400-500 miles.

I have a bazillion interests and hobbies which include quilting, reading, hiking, bicycling, hula-hooping, writing, cross-stitching, kayaking, bird watching, photography, downhill skiing, x-country skiing, snow shoeing, and puzzles.
