Tired of my sedentary lifestyle. Time to make a lifestyle change and get fit for myself and my family.

My goal is not to be skinny, but healthy. To be so, I need to make working out more of a priority and consistency in my life, plus continue staying with the positive food changes I’ve made this past year and not slip back into unhealthy habits.

Fitness Minutes: 9,069

My Goals:
2017 1st Quarter Exercise Goals
Daily step goal - 7,500 steps
Daily stretch goal - 5 minutes each morning and evening
Weekly strength training goal - 30 minutes of strength training 3x each week
Weekly cardio training goal - 45 minutes of cardio training 4x each week

2017 1st Quarter Diet Goals
Daily - minimum 60 grams protein (prefer 90 grams)
Daily - measure EVERYTHING!
Daily - track EVERYTHING!
Daily - minimum 45 oz water (prefer 64 oz)

My Program:
I meet with my nutritionist monthly. She has me focusing on protein, healthy fats, plus fruits/vegetables. I am using both SparkPeople and MyFitnessPal to track my daily food/water/exercise log, but it is a work in progress.

Personal Information:
I'm 5'8". I was 247lbs at my heaviest. I am currently 173.5lbs (Tuesday, 14 March, 2017).

Other Information:
I enjoy working out, but have trouble making it the priority it needs in my life. I enjoy group classes like Zumba, step aerobics, water aerobics, and lately aqua Zumba. I am also interested in trying some yoga and pilates. I need to work on strength training as well. My husband and I are also trying to find dancing classes on days that do not conflict with my class schedule. This past winter, we read about the Virginia Capital Trail and decided we wanted to ride it this spring/summer. Working on building up the stamina (aka tailbone falling asleep/going numb) this 52-mile trail.
