I joined SP a little over a year ago, making inroads into the overweight category, and looking to lose a little weight. What I found were good friends on the same journey, that exercise isn’t a chore but a lot of fun, and that healthy isn’t an endpoint but a lifestyle. My real goal is to get strong enough to take whatever life throws at me. And, boy, do I need to do some heavy lifting! I have three kids (3, 8, 10) and a husband (lucky 13 years) and our middle son has nonverbal autism. My sweet kid started in with PANS/PANDAS/Lyme last February and has started becoming aggressive during flares. We moved in May 2018 from big city Aurora, Colorado to middle of the woods New Hampshire. Which I love! As for me? I’m a Christ follower, a CNA, and a former math and preschool teacher. I’m a recovering homeschooling mom, with the curriculum closet to prove it. I’m a major and unapologetic nerd - introvert, B.A. in Mathematics, minor in Computer Science, and science fiction and fantasy junkie; along with my new obsessions of running and hiking. I don’t get out much, as my middle son takes a lot of time and energy, so this is my community.
