I'm so glad you are here. I have been up and down and all over the place with weight and food myself, so I know how you feel...hopeful, wishful, and skeptical, right? I don't know if there is a perfect answer for anyone, but I do know that perseverance and willingness to keep trying will get us somewhere beyond where we are!
Here is my take on why this program might be working for me: I get credit for every little thing I do, even when I don't get credit for staying in my calorie range for the day: I can earn points for learning about healthy stuff and points for exercising, and points for cheering someone else on. These are ALL good things, even if I had one too many pretzels (or a quart too much ice cream) last night!
In twelve step recovery programs they say "Progress, Not Perfection" over and over again. Life and getting healthy is NOT all or nothing! Glad you are here!

Hi - I am a swedish 57-yearold that have the same history as you - endless diets and efforts. Not so sucessful but it took me ten years before I finally suceeded in qutting smoking (18 years ago) and maybe ten years to quit drinking (four years ago) handling food is much harder since I can´t quit eating but eventually I will find a way... I hope!

Looking forward to read more from your blog and I hope you don´t mind that I make you a spark friend!
