You made the best choice I bet! I mean, when our heads aren't in the game, we don't perform as well anyway. I had a few times where I knew it just wouldn't be worth it and I took an extra rest day. You are already doing so awesome, you are going to SHINE on race day. I'm so excited for you!!!

No therapy. I don't even know what is wrong with it. I called my doctor to see about going in for an appointment and she said I would be better off heading straight to the orthopedic doctors. It's a $50 copay and I just can't see in spending the money right now. I mean, if it hurt all the time I would, but it's only when I run that it bothers me, so running has just pretty much went on the back burner for now. Funny thing is, I miss it! Never thought I'd say that!!

Yes, that is getting close!! How exciting!

I just saw your status...a 10:08 mile pace is awesome, especially considering the hills. That is awesome!! I ran my half at pretty much an 11:10 pace. I was happy with that...my longest outside run pre-race was only 6 miles and my longest inside run pre-race was 8 miles. I got side tracked a lot in the last 2 months with personal stuff.

As far as running now, it's not happening. My knee hurts so bad when I run now, so I'm just taking it easy on that until I can get to the ortho and get it checked out. I'm focusing a lot on ST, especially around that knee.

Keep up the awesome work...you are going to do stellar!! I cannot wait to hear all about it!

Hi Jolene! Just thought I'd drop in and say hello quick! How is your running coming along? I'm still chugging along. I ran outside for the first time (all winter) on Saturday and it was much tougher than I expected! I planned to run 9, but after 4.5 had to quit. My knees and shins were screaming! Going back outside this weekend, and for now really going to kick the ST into high gear.
Keep in touch and let me know how you are doing when you have time!

    Hugs,
    Beth
