I swore to begin a journey of weight loss after I gave birth to my son, Seth. He was born August 11th, 2009 and that was pretty much when my journey began.

At my 38wk prenatal appt I was weighing in at around 260lbs. Before the pregnancy I had never weighed over 190lbs but it had been a long time since I had seen anything lower than 170lbs. Shortly after giving birth the scales were showing a whopping 220lbs. It was depressing but I was still pumped and motivated to get back down to my prepregnancy weight (190lbs) and to even drop some extra weight.

As I'm updating this my son has just turned 5 months old & today I am happy to say that I weighed in at 200.8lbs. This is still a long ways from the 150lbs that I plan on arriving at before August 10th but it's been a pretty good journey so far. Ever now and again I revamp my goals and give myself a mental reset but everything has been moving forward with very few set backs.

I'm determined to get to 150lbs & there is no doubt in my mind that I will. Can I do it by August 10th... I'm pretty sure I can and I'm planning on continuing to bust my butt to get there. That means calorie counting, atleast 3 gym visits a week, & keeping on top of all of my other goals.

Nothing in life comes free or easily but it's surely going to be worth all the sweat & tears once my husband steps off the plane & sees his new improved wife. The healthy, fit one that he truly deserves!

I'm originally from N. Carolina but moved to Texas to live with the in-laws while my husband is deployed. I'll be here until August 2010, as stand the plans right now. This is the first time I've ever been this determined to drop so much weight & it definitely feels good knowing that I can do.
