3.26.19 Am back once again to help myself stay on track. I've dropped 20 lbs over the past nine months which is good, but I wasn't trying. I haven't had an outside job since May of last year as I have been home taking care of my dad, and I am no longer taking my insulin so who knows. It doesn't hurt that my dad doesn't eat much; guess I have been following his lead so to speak. I'm happy anyway!

My goals are simple...to exercise five times or more a week (minimum of walking 5 miles a week), increase my water intake (I drink entirely too much regular soda, but feel it's better than drinking diet...don't like the artificial sweeteners), and control my calorie intake by tracking my dietary intake. I'm diabetic and would like to come off my meds. I've done it before, so I know it can be done!

I have another stimulus to doing this. Don't know why my health can't be enough, but it's never been that way for me. Anyway, my 40th HS class reunion is this year. It would be nice if I could get back down to my HS weight...that's a very lofty goal, so it's not likely; however, I'd be thrilled to be closer to it than being farther away from it! LOL!! I'm only 14 pounds away from what I weighed in 2010 so that's good! I'm sure I can do better...just need to apply myself!

You are so right. You have been through so much recently that it would be normal to be struggling some. Ii just don't want you to backslide as you have accomplished so much. Hopefully things will resolve soon and you can start the next phase of your life. Hugs and prayers.

It must be a form of mental illness because they find people saving bags of their own feces. I can't imagine how people manage to go in and help them. I could not do it. I watched a show where an old man got sick and asked another old man to help his dog when he was hospitalized and he went there and it was a mess. He called for help and these rescue people had to go in there and get the dog. These people really are heroes. I would hurl! I was a mobile trauma nurse for a while but never had to get into things like that. No can do!!!

I'm really into getting rid of stuff. We have way too much junk!

My MIL mostly had junk other than the house and car and the 2 brothers had already taken what they wanted and we sold the junk, what we could of it. They had gone through a lot of her money. One charged her $18,000 to take her on a vacation that she paid for. My dad had already given my brother most of the valuable stuff. No big deal. I'm glad it is behind us and all we have to do now is live our lives. Good luck tackling the sorting.
