Continually refining a no BS approach to achieving goals. I've learned that people make this process difficult. They will inject their own rules and extreme behavior to make this seem hard. It's always simple. Eat less, lift more. But it's never easy.
Three simple rules.
1) Diet to lose fat.
2) Exercise to feel good.
3) Lift heavy to gain muscle.

Inform yourself, apply, measure, draw your OWN conclusions.

Lifetime maintenance. Overall goal is to recomp favorably. Accomplish this with heavy lifting, limited cardio, plenty of food.
Constant simplification of approach to rid myself and others of ritualistic noise.
I have numbers, but don't really share publicly. Will be happy to in private.

Accomplishments: Lost 70 pounds around Feb 2010, 5K Personal Best: 20:48 on Oct 2, 2010, P90X grad, Sept 2010. Half marathon: 1:53, Feb 2012.

I am a smart ass which I find better than being a dumb ass. I wish more people shared the viewpoint.
