Camp WannabeFit is a group of Sparkers that decided we want to move beyond weekly weigh ins. We know that pounds are not the only way to measure success. We need the flexibility of taking Tuesday off from exercise some weeks and don�t want to feel guilty about it. We know what works for us, what our time constraints are and what we enjoy doing.
But we enjoy hanging out with an active team; we need the support and the fun. We are also just a bit competitive and appreciate the ...
Camp WannabeFit is a group of Sparkers that decided we want to move beyond weekly weigh ins. We know that pounds are not the only way to measure success. We need the flexibility of taking Tuesday off from exercise some weeks and don�t want to feel guilty about it. We know what works for us, what our time constraints are and what we enjoy doing.
But we enjoy hanging out with an active team; we need the support and the fun. We are also just a bit competitive and appreciate the fact that having a team depending on us can push us to work just a little bit harder.
With those things in mind, we put together Camp WannabeFit. Our camp lodges compete weekly by earning points for all the things that help us create health, happy, productive lifestyles. We earn points for the usual exercise and good nutrition, but we also value meditation, creativity, volunteer time, organization . . . there is even a book club.
Traveling this week? Cut back on your camp commitments . Need to get ready for an event? Hit it hard. Have a race this week - you won�t lose points for needing to load up on those carbs.
Being part of a team that is counting on you to rack up those points each week helps you stay accountable. Bragging rights are a wonderful thing!!
We are an ongoing challenge, so we are always looking for new members.
