Good Morning, thanks for checking in on my SparkPage. Monday was a pretty good day. I got up with great intentions for a full day and then my sister called me on Skype and since I haven't talked to her in a month, we gabbed for 3 hours, so in the end I did not get my cardio workout done (I shoot for 5 days a week at least). I had other errands to get done, get my laundry started and then pick up my daughter from school. The day got away from me but I did well in my food choices. I can't believe I am feeling as motivated as I am. Usually once my mindset goes there, I have no problems staying focused and getting to my goal, which is good. I made a wonderful chicken stirfry for dinner yesterday. My hubby liked it and my daughter and I both thought it had too much soya sauce, so will cut back next time, but it was good. This morning I have my full work out. I do 35 min of elliptical and then I do my 40 minutes of strength training and then I stretch for 15 minutes at least. It will be a good workout and am actually looking forward to it. I have laundry to finish today too. I am sure I can fill the rest of my day with other things that need to be done. For breakfast I am trying a new protein shake, even my husband is going to give it a try. I am liking that as he gets older, he is taking more interest in his health which will make it easier for me to stay on track. The days here have more or less overcast everyday, it does get discouraging to keep motivated. I love my sun and so spring is usually my favourite season. I did my weigh in this morning and I am down again. In total about 5 lbs over the last 2-3 weeks, so I am on track. Good luck with your day today and will check in with you again soon. emoticon emoticon

Have great fun with those new walking shoes! I always loved buying new work out shoes. I find I love my Nike Air crosstrainers the best out of all that I have tried. They are so comfortable on tired and aching feet.

Welcome to our cozy mystery group, CAPTHAMMERFAN! I love your smile and sense of humor - and your dog. Our team is small and can be quiet at times, but we enjoy each other, as well as our mysteries. Come on over and introduce yourself when you're ready. - Carole

Hi, thanks for the response to my blog. I know what you mean about now is the time for you. My daughter graduates next June from high school and is talking about law school but will likely be staying home for that. As she gets older, I find more ME time and I love it. I had my family Thanksgiving at my place yesterday. I had 9 out of the original 18 here. It is tough trying to get everyone together. I lost my sister 6 years ago (51) to cancer (miss her dearly, we laughed alot), my brother 2 years later (50) and my mother 2 years ago unexpectedly (69). It sure changes your perspective on life but we must persevere and take care of ourselves. I live in Wpg but have visited Vancouver last year visiting my uncle. It was a wonderful visit. Let's keep in touch and share this journey, if you like...... emoticon
