Today all things are new! My healthy fit life is ahead of me and I excited about it every day! The weight loss portion is behind me, as I have reached my 'goal weight' and a healthy body fat percent at this time. I continue to set new goals and look forward to new challenges. If I could bottle up how good it feels to be healthy and strong and give you just a little sip, you would be so hooked and want it for yourself soooooo bad that you would be willing to fight for your right to have it!!! Want it!!! And GO get it!!! Do not take no for an answer!!! Quitting is not an option! It's up to you and it's now!

The girl of yesterday was afraid to try new things, the woman I am today looks for opportunities. The motto: Be Brave, Be Bold, Be Fierce and Be Fabulous was my daily mantra to remind myself that new results required a new attitude.

Goals Accomplished:
Graduated from the Couch 2 5k program 12/26/09
Lost 117 lbs.
Ran 5 half marathons 5/10 - 11/11
Ran 1 full marathon 11/10
Ran/Rode 1 biathlon 8/11

ACE Personal Trainer Certification
YogaFit Instructor Certification

Goals for 2012:

Build muscle/lower body fat
Run two half marathons
Increase the number of people who hear the message that you CAN live your best life NOW!!! It does not matter how old, overweight or sick you are. . . YOU CAN improve your quality of life. If I can, you can!

My Program:
Workout with Personal Trainer on Tuesdays & Thursdays! DONE Sept. - May . My trainer is graduation, so I am on my own for the summer. Starting with new trainer June 2, 2010. He is a college football player and is known for his tough workouts! Bring it!

Run on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturdays! To increase weekly distance and endurance as I train for a 1/2 Marathon. DONE!

Working on a more aggressive training program to increase speed and distances.

Interval training and ab work on Saturday

Bicycle whenever the sun is shining and workout schedule allows!

Ten minutes of flexibility training after each run.

Clean and lean foods only. Remember that crappy fuel makes for a crappy workout. I'm building muscle and strength, not crap.

Personal Information:
I get asked a lot how tall I am, I am 5' 8 1/2". ALL of my life I have been considered a 'big' girl. Not because I was overweight, but I am blessed to have a thick muscular structure and a curvy figure that allows me to 'carry my weight well'.
Born and raised in Virginia.

Relocated to Indiana in 2007.

2 sons are young adults now, so I now have time to focus on my health!

I am a certified yoga instructor, working on getting back to teaching and advancing in my certification level

I love being creative and busy. I grow herbs and dry them to put in my homemade soaps. I design and make a line of casual chic jewelry that is sold in two shops on the east coast.
