Started here 2013, highest weight 188, current weight 153, goal 130. I eat a mostly plant based diet, log what I eat, and do vigorous exercise three times per week with light weight training and stretching. I intermittently fast 6 days per week from 6pm- 1030 am (unless I exercise in the morning, then I will have breakfast). I’m aPhysician Assistant in primary care. I’m currently in week 5 of a couch to 5 k program and this is the first really running I’ve done since the Army. I retired medically in 2010.

My Goals:
Consistently loose fat and gain muscle, slowly, the right way- and keep it off.
*wt within healthy range (145 lbs, BMI less than 25)
*correctly complete all sun salutation movements during one yoga session

COMPLETED GOALS:
-START AND MAINTAIN STRENGTH TRAINING PROGRAM!
-fit size 12 jeans
-ride up big hill on bike
-lowered cholesterol wnl
-made it to yoga
-lowered BMI less than 30 (no longer obese)
-ran 1 mile no stopping


My Program:
I am tracking my intake and have reduced portion size and overall calories to 12-1560 per day. I eat many whole foods and limit processed and fast food, however I do enjoy healthy fats and occasional treats. I am adding more activity by walking and riding my bike to school, have an in-home elliptical, and am getting up and moving more throughout the day. I aim for at least 10 minutes of purposeful exercise a day, but normally do more. I go to the YMCA for spin class 2-3 days per week and yoga 1 day per week. I wear a misfit tracker to help me keep track of how much activity I get every day.
