I really suck at swimming. I think it's because I haven't got much upper body strength (although this is currently changing)...I couldn't even do A push up when I joined Spark People.
I can run forever but swimming....one lane and I need to rest for 10 minutes. This is one way not return.
My friend however is crap at running but swims like some olympic athlete. It shows that you just need to find what you like and what you're good at. I like messing about in the pool though. Playing around, diving for stuff, being silly, that sort of thing. Would be interesting to see if my swimming has improved with my upper body strength. emoticon emoticon emoticon

My fave exercise is definitely swimming! I used to compete internationally as a teenager and i've recently rediscovered my love of it. Plus its easy to stay cool in water! The worst thing about exercise for me is how hot i get! And i dont seem to notice it when swimming! emoticon

My legs aren't as toned as they seem in the picture. I think it's more the way I stand and the angle. But yes running does tone them. I do strength training too. Squats and lunges are awesome. I can only recommend running to everyone. It's such a great sport. It gets you fresh air, it's free (apart from a pair of good running shoes) and you can do it almost anywhere. I am not a gym person. I like to be outside for my training.
    What's your exercise favourite then?

Thanks for commenting on my blog. I'm 32 years old also. It's a great age to start being healthy. We can do this!

Thanks for your comment on my blog. It's very true what you said and I am so happy my eyes are open to see positive things rather than negative. Great turning point. emoticon
