Introduction Text I'm tired of being out of shape. I feel like every other part of my life is where I want it to be. I have a wonderful husband of 5 years, we have a super smart and healthy precious little girl, I'm a new attending physician with an awesome position in a great city, we are new homeowners of investment property, and we've been able to help both sets of our parents in phenomenal ways. But I'm still obese. Always obese. Everything except the shell of a person I'm becoming because my weight is literally bearing down on me. My heart is very heavy. Nothing motivational or inspirational to say. It seems like I'll have this struggle my entire life. That, in and of itself, is horrifying.

I'd like to be fit so that advice to my patients won't fall on deaf ears. I am trying desperately to ward off my family traits, which include heart disease, high blood pressure, and diabetes.

I'm currently trying to rid my body and cupboards of excess sugar and salt. Fruits and veggies 70% of the time and no eating after 6PM. I'm also coupling that with the FIRM, C25K running, yoga, swimming, and bicycling.
