Thank you so much for the comments on my page and blog! I would love to be your sparkbuddy! I agree that we need as much encouragement and support as we can get from each other, and I will do my best to provide that for you. My name is Sarah, I'm 25, and I'm from Arizona. I have around 50 pounds to lose, and I look forward to doing it with you! If you ever feel down or discouraged, or need someone to lean on, I hope I have the right words to help you back on track! 3576 days ago

Hi Charlene, and thanks for stopping by! First of all you need to know that Zumba alone is not going to make you lose weight. It will definitely help but you also need to watch your food intake as well as do strength training. Those last 2 I am having a problem with right now! I was doing really well until I hit a brick wall so to speak and I am slowly gaining weight back despite taking 5 to 8 classes of zumba a week. I wear a heart rate monitor so I know that I am burning an average of 600 calories a class, depending on the intensity of the class. Zumba is a lot of fun and very addicting. I started with one class and loved it, and went home and looked up the routines we did on Youtube so I could practice at home too. But I find that I don't give it my all at home, that is why I go to so many live classes. You are right , nobody will laugh at you, they will be too busy trying to watch their step. The first few classes might be frustrating as you will not know the routines and you will probably feel clumsy (I know I did) But don't give up! You will get the hang of it after a few classes. Also not all instructors are created equally! The very first zumba class I took, I did not like it at all. And I let 6 months go by before trying again with a different instructor. That instructor made all the difference. I can see it the most in my legs, they are nice and muscular from all the dancing. Good luck and keep me posted on your progress! 3748 days ago

Wow, that's very advantageous of you! I don't think I could imagine having that little time at my hands, I thought my life was hectic now let alone adding four children into the mix:) Congrats by the way I saw their pictures they are quite cute! Have you always lived in Scottland? I live in Canada, my grandpa was from Scottland but I've never been, always wanted to. Right now I haven't decided to stick to one exercise due to the fact that I need to not overdo it this time. I have a habit of kicking into gear and then the one day I don't exercise i step back into my bad habits and don't want to do it again for another couple of months. I've gotta learn to start small. I'm going to start with 10-15 mins of exercise time a day, whether it's working out on the wii, going for a walk, or exercising to one of the MANY exercise videos I have (I have a couple of jillian micheals as well:P). I know how you feel trying to do it alone, I hope your husband supports you too. My fiance is supportive but he isn't ready to make the change himself yet, which is okay but it's hard when he's eating fast food or chips all the time. Looking forward to writting down all my meals though:) 3767 days ago

Hey! How are you doing! Yeah I just signed up yesterday. I got some bad news recently that I have a rather large ovarian cyst. I feel too young to get something that may effect my life in so many ways. I'm in university right now, living with my fiance. Times a little tight but I know I'm going to have to make big changes to get myself to where I want to be. I'd love to be your buddy. Tell me more about urself:) 3767 days ago
