Introduction Text

I really want to lose 45 pounds, but I will settle for healthier, healthier, healthier. For my knees and shins not to scream when I walk over 2 miles. To ride my bike more and find joy in it.

Logging all my food. Trying to keep calories under 1500 every day with as many days as possible under 1300. Eating consciously. Weight training with a personal trainer. Trying to increase my activity level.

I grew up in TX, lived all over the U.S. including HI. Moved back to TX Nov 07 to spend time with my aging parents. Lost my dad April '09. Was really glad I was here.

I love to read so it is hard for me to stay off the couch. I hiked every weekend while I lived in CO, but am not doing much here in TX.
