Wow! I started this Sparkjourney in April of 2011 in the hopes of first getting below 200 pounds. I can see now that there are so many other things that will come of this journey.

First of all I am convinced that for the first time this will be it. I have tried to lose weight so many time and have yo-yo'ed back. Not this time. It is different. Sparkpeople has helped me not only get below 200 but has indirectly changed my life and the life of my family.

First of all, I have changed my eating habits and the habits of our family. It is not perfect, but we are making slow progression and the make-up of our cupboards and fridge have changed quite a bit.

My husband has lost over 30 pounds since I have joined. He has also changed his eating habits. Just another side benefit.

The biggest thing for me is the expansion of the thoughts of what I can accomplish. The world is widening for me. I started to attend the roller derby practices in our local area. I am hoping to try out for the team with in the year. I am also participating in my first 5K in October. Who would have thought I would voluntarily signed up for running. I am looking forward to being in the best shape that I have been in for a long time. The greatest thing is that it is starting now. Everytime I hit a lower number on that scale it is a celebration. Every time I am able to do more pushups or situps I am celebrating. It is a great time and I am sure that through all the bumps in the road I will complete this race! For now I am enjoying the scenery.

I am going to reward myself as I go. Here are the plans:
15 lbs. lost: Hiking Shoes
20 lbs lost: Amore salon
25 lbs. lost: Day off
30 lbs lost: new running shoes
35 lbs. lost: Subscription to a magazine
40 lbs. lost: Massage
45 lbs. lost: Overnight trip with hubby
50 lbs. lost: Spa treatment of choice
55 lbs. lost: Roller Derby Outfit
60 lbs. lost: New knife set
66 lbs lost: Shopping in Spokane or Seattle for new clothes!!!!

6 week reward: Date night with hubby (maybe even overnight) First week in November.

My Goals:
Would like to lose the babyfat gained from having 4 kiddos. Know as my lifestyle changes so will my family's. Trying to focus right now on the next 15 pounds so that I can go visit my friend in Seattle as a reward.

My Program:
Trying to look at daily life as an oppotunity to be active. I am trying out the SparkPeople recommendation for training for a 5K and doing cross training on other days. Trying to stay within my calorie budget and make better choices. Trying to get my weekly skating in to help me reach my goals.
