Hi! I am a 45 year old mom of four and I now have 50+ pounds to lose, and my goal is to do it by December 2015. My biggest struggle is trying to find balance in using my time. Balance between working full time, taking care of the family, cooking, cleaning, shopping, exercising, Bible study/prayer time, etc. There just aren't enough hours in the days sometimes!

Fitness Minutes: 17,644

My Goals:
My goals are to get to my goal weight by December 2015, eat healthier as a family, and get active as a family! My other goal is to eat cleaner, natural foods.

My Program:
I am following the Spark calorie program and also working on "eating clean", meaning no processed foods. It's a work in progress though! I just started running again this summer (2014) and also started biking. I am committed to tracking ALL my food and activity here on Spark, and working activity into all aspects of my life, especially my family life.

Personal Information:
My name is Donna and I work full time as the supervisor of a medical laboratory. I am married to a wonderful man for 23 years now. I have four active children, one who I home school.

Other Information:
My favorite movies are the Lord of the Rings series! I love to read all kinds of books. My current book and television obsession is Game of Thrones. I also love the Outlander series, I've loved the books for years and now have a television show to watch as well. I love hiking and camping, and that is my motivation for being fit, so I can hike without difficulty! I am a Christian and church and Bible study is an important part of my life.

THanks for coming by my page! Sounds like you are in a great neighborhood consisting of country living-I know the feeling when walking/jogging/running on roads with crazy drivers-actually I have had a few run-ins with cart drivers that don't give me time to corral the kidlets-guess there are folks like that everywhere. Hope this finds you staying warm-we haven't been over 25 degrees all day. Went in for surgery yesterday to remove hardware from my ankle. I dislocated and fractured my ankle about a year ago and the doc had to use screws and plates to put it back in position to heal. He was finally satisfied that I had mended enough to remove the stuff-thank goodness!! It was so close to the surface, when I moved at night, the sharp pain would wake me up. So once I recoup from this surgery, I should be back better than ever. Pain is a little much right now-thank goodness for drugs! emoticon
Enjoy your day and wishing you the best for week 5! emoticon

When you look in the mirror and see no change, and still keep faith, knowing that in time you will get there if you stay focused and on track, that’s the difference between those who succeed and those who fail.

I can only imagine that living in the country poses all sorts of new challenges! I live in a golf cart city-no, not a community, but the whole city!-it is connected with golf cart paths. We use carts for getting to school, appointments, shopping, visiting friends, you name it-even have golf cart parking spaces at the shopping malls-kids cannot wait to be old enough to drive the carts to school-the whole parking lot is filled with carts not cars! Makes my job kind of fun since I can use the paths for walking my clients-we have lakes, ponds, golf courses all available for cycling, jogging, walking, cart use-pretty nice considering we are just 20 minutes from the Atlanta airport and 30 minutes from Atlanta itself. Where is your "country living" located? We are having really yucky weather right now which only makes my job more interesting! emoticon emoticon emoticon

Thank you for stopping by my page-love hearing from other members from other teams-we all have our goals and it is great to know we are working together to make it happen for us. Hope your holidays were wonderful-your pictures reflect a lovely family that look happy to be together-very blessed! I am on the Golden Phoenix team but am hard pressed to give up my purple page (my favorite color) from when I was on the Amazing Amethysts! Silly, I know but just partial to the purple family-Wishing you much success on our Winter Challenge-looking forward to hearing how you are doing-
