YOUNG-AT-HEART Weigh-in Saturday thoughts...I know the number on the scale is just a snapshot of a moment in time. I know my weight loss is part of a long, continuous, lifelong journey. I expect to sometimes feel great about the number and where I am on the scale. Sometimes it won’t be that way. When I have gained weight I know I need to re-evaluate the foods in my diet, my activity & exercise levels, water I am drinking, the stress levels I am dealing with, and my sleep habits and patterns. I know the scale does not define who I am. It doesn't make me good or bad. It only tells me whether or not I am on track to reach my goals. Then I make the adjustments needed and continue to follow my daily plan and I will see results over time.
“No matter what the number is, you and your body are worthy of your love and the love of others. You are the same wonderful person with unique talents and strengths, regardless of the number on the scale or the size of your body.” -Shari Broder
“It’s not about perfect. It’s about effort. And when you bring that effort every single day, that’s where transformation happens. That’s how change occurs.” -Jillian Michaels
Success equals doing the best that you can with what you have! Every single day! 86 days ago
To be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind. To talk health, happiness, and prosperity to every person you meet.
To make all your friends feel that there is something in them To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true.
To think only the best, to work only for the best, and to expect only the best. To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own.
To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future. To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature you meet a smile.
To give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others. To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear, and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.
To think well of yourself and to proclaim this fact to the world, not in loud words but great deeds. To live in faith that the whole world is on your side so long as you are true to the best that is in you. 93 days ago
