My weight has been yo-yo-ing all my adult life! And I'm really tired of it! I want to walk into a room and not feel self-conscious about my weight. After a lifetime of selecting clothes to conceal myself, I want to wear pretty clothes, try new activities & grab more gusto!

Update: I've been with SP for almost 5 yr. Lost the weight in 6 months. Rode the roller coaster of up & down the scale. Finally I'm ignoring the scale , making good food choices & exercising at least 30 min. 6 days/week. Period.

Most important lesson learned: The bad habits that made me fat the first time (and the 128th time!) will make me fat again. This must be a permanent change in my life.

2013: After DH got a new knee & I returned to all my bad habits, I sat around & regained nearly all the weight I had lost.

Started over 3 weeks ago and am now on Day 20 of a streak of at least 30 min. of exercise 6 days/week. Feel better! Clothes fit better!

It's working...it always does. SP is the greatest! Just do it...and it feels soo great!

Fantastic! Enjoy all that hot humidity, Girl. :) I just saw you answered my last note to you on YOUR page. Tee hee... I've done that before. I'll be leaving on my transatlantic cruise soon, so I'll want to hear about Costa Rica later (I still haven't been there), and I'll tell you about Brazil and Argentina. Hasta Luego!

Hey Nancy, How's it going? I'm still battling these lbs I gained on the trip. Gotta get 'em off before the next one! When will you guys be off to warmer parts?

Thank you for stopping by and for your kind words. We are lucky it is "only" a tropical storm and not the massive hurricane they are dealing with in the South East - that would be devastating to this town, definitely not geared up for that.
We will get strong winds and lots of rain, some flooding and wash outs, power cuts and water outage but hopefully no loss of life. The poorer areas will be hit the hardest. I stocked up on essentials this morning, tomorrow DH will secure the house and I will fill buckets for the bathroom.
Are you back in Colorado? I heard they had lots of snow the last few days. Stay safe!!

I'm "up" to everything. Leaving tomorrow for a couple of days in mtn. area that has no access to internet. Yikes! Torture!

How can I eat on the road (franchises) and what my hostess offers & there's no access to a grocery store to buy a "stash" of fruit or other healthy food to sneaky eat I've lost some weight & am on the wagon of no soda, chocolate, crackers, candy, ice cream and it's reached a point where it's not even very hard to resist them.

Any suggestions? What are you up to? Fall is happening here...too soon! I'd love to hear about your life and family & plans!
