Miami resident, Flexetarian, mostly vegetarian, 58 y/o, sedentary now but always been very active and hoping to be so again soon, love this website and have been spreading the word around.
Would love to form a SparkMiami group that meets at one of the parks to walk, jog or run. Maybe participate in one of the many local marathons. How about it Miami?

My Goals:
Lose 40 lbs in total over the next year.
Walk or run a marathon next year.
Learn tai-chi or yoga.
My Program:
Make breakfast the most important meal of the day, lots of protein.
Keep my daily calories below 1600.
Start walking first, then eventually begin runnning again.
Personal Information:
Pediatrician, married for 22 years, have 16 yr-old son, who is an incredible young man, also a flexetarian and an intellectual.
Other Information:
My passion is to improve the lives of the children in my practice who are overweight or obese, and to prevent bad habits that may lead to this in all children. Pet peeve misleading food commercials.
