It was a great year to end. Yep 2019 was a success in many ways it had it's ups and downs but ended well for the most part of my life. There were some family issues that came up but none of which really effected my healthy living. Well the end of year holidays were a little trickier than the past as I had a hard time controlling sugar. But that's all behind me now and I am looking ahead to each month as it comes to make decisions that are healthy ones for both body and mind.

In 2020 I will celebrate 10 consistent years with SPARKPEOPLE and the BEST group of women as friends and support system. They help hold me accountable for the changes I've made to live healthy in this time frame. 130 pounds I hope to never see again, I think I've got the hang of this now and aim to make it through another year with a positive attitude and a few more pounds gone to go with it. Good Lord willing and the creek don't rise !!!!

It's been a wild ride this past year. Lots of things going on in THE world, OUR country and MY life.

Changes at my job caused me some stress that I am not use to dealing with; but my faith was strong and with a positive attitude got me through the last 3 months of the year.

It has def been a successful healthy year for me which I am so very proud of and will aim to make 2019 another one. As far as resolutions I just want to make good choices, stay positive and continue to have a strong faith in God who makes all things possible !!!

Well I made it FINALLY successfully ending 2017 in ONEderland. It feels so good to have the momentum back that I had when I started SP in 2010.
The gift of a tracker this past September was what it took to move me ... literally !!! I'm pushing each day to reach my step goal. I'm starting 2018 over 10K steps each day and stretching for 12K for the month of January. I'll re-evaluate each month for a new goal. Healthy eating is on the mark with no more eating after dinner and good prep and planning the night before has been and will continue to be key.

I'm not setting any number goals I just want my goal to be to live healthier in 2018, and share love and kindness to everyone.

Yes indeed 10 pounds above my lowest and I am not happy about it either. That's a good sign in my eyes so I aim to find the mojo I had when I started here in 2010. Yes I know that was then and this is now so I expect it to be different. I want to make it even stronger than it was then and that will be the difference. I want it to happen and it's up to me to make that change. SP and all the absolutely wonderful friends I have made here will be my inspiration and accountability to them as well. STAYING STRONG TOGETHER is a big part of the journey because TEAM WORK MAKES THE DREAM WORK and WE CAN DO IT !!!

Happy Healthy 2017 everyone. May it be full of kindness, compassion, love and forgiveness to others all around the world.

I am so happy that I am still working at living healthier after 6 years !!! I owe most of it to SP because being here everyday helps to keep me committed and motivated to want to carry on. 2016 brings a new excitement to my journey that I have been missing. The last half of 2015 started it flowing again and I feel as ready to make it happen as I did when I first started in 2010.

So here's to 2016. May it be full of kindness, compassion, love and forgiveness to others all around the world.

Peace and Blessings friends.

Yep another new year of SP, this makes # 5 coming up for me. Pretty awesome huh? Well I think so and I am so happy to be continuing my journey with all the wonderful friends I have made and who without, I don't know that I would still be here. I have found that the friends I have made are also my motivation, they help keep me accountable each and every day !!!

SP is one of the best things that has happened in my life and I shout it from the roof tops and will continue to do so. So won't you join me and become part of the best place to learn how to make a change in your life that can be permanent. SP is not a diet, diets end, SP is learning to live a healthy way of life that lasts.

It's up to you to make a change in your life and always remember you have to want it everyday !!!

As I start my 4th year of learning to live healthy I have accepted that this is a new way of life and I like it !!! It has it's ups and it's downs, just like everyday life. It's no different; it's just a choice I choose so that I can live a longer fuller active life that my very over weight previous self could not have done. I am a happy positive motivated person with a vision of the future now.

2013 ended without a change in my weight but it was still a success as it did end with me walking on a regular basis, which I will increase in 2014 and my goal will be to get to One-derland by year's end.

I will blog about these changes as they happen because that's what we SPARKPEOPLE do. We share with each other our successes, our accomplishments, our NSV, our temptations, and so much more. We give and we get motivation, inspiration and encouragement and we stay strong together.

If we are truly serious and committed to changing the way we think about food and fitness and want to live a healthy life then we have to learn how to do it and SP is the place to be.

The Beginning 2010 : ........

After being unemployed for nearly 2 years and a bout of depression to go with it, I promised myself when I did get a job I would quit smoking. Well I was offered a job the Wednesday before Xmas 2009 and quit smoking Xmas day 2009, and I started my new job on 1/4/10 .

I have always had issues with my weight and during my unemployment I ballooned to my highest ever. My dearest friends would make suggestions and offers to get me motivated but I was deaf to their voices. Finally working again and not smoking I started to get concerned about gaining more weight and I literly woke up one morning mid Jan 2010 and said "today is the day".

So Jan 15th 2010 the journey began for me and by Oct 2010 I had lost 57 pounds. I had been very active with researching and reading and learning as much as I could online about nutrition and eating healthy and then after reading a post on the Hungry Girl web site that same month I found SPARKPEOPLE and decided to check it out. I was looking for another means of motivation and am so glad I looked here. I became very involved and active with reading the articles and message boards before I really decide to take part in the "program". Now I am here daily and love it. I have made some wonderful friends and have learned so much about how to make changes to a healthy lifestyle and making it permanent.
