Okay, first for this website, my name is Desire2BThin.

I have never been skinny, but I have been significantly smaller than I am now.

In January 1999, I weighed 171. I wasn't happy with my size, but I felt much better about me, than I do now. That is the smallest I have been in my adult life.

In September 1999, I was in a terrible car accident. With all the medicine, bedrest and lack of exercise, I began to gain weight. Then in December 1999, before recovering from the first accident, I was in another car accident. Because I had not healed from the first, my injuries were even worse.

Still on medications, bedrest and no exercise, I was continuing to gain weight. I was on bedrest for eight months. During the eight months, I gained roughly about 60 lbs.

After the weight gain, I become severely depressed. By mid-2004, my weight had escalated to about 264. I have slowly lost back down to around 248.

Staying motivated and not having a great support group has drastically enabled me to lose weight.

I have started exercising regularly, AGAIN, on April 23, 2007.

I am hoping by creating this page and adding friends with my same Goals, Hopes and Desires. I will be able to achieve my goal weight.

I will be using a virtual model to track my size. If I get brave, I might take some pictures of me without my face, to show what I actually look like.

My Goals:
To lose weight through a healthy lifestyle. To gain self-esteem and self-confidence.



I would like to lose about 50 lbs by October 2007. I haven't seen my brother since July 2004 and I know that he would be proud of me if I lost weight. He is my biggest supporter in my weight loss journey and tells me I am a beautiful woman. He even cried at his wedding when I walked down the isle because he thought I was beautiful.


My Program:
I am trying to do at least 30 minutes of cardiovascular exercise 5x a week and strength training 3x a week.

I have chosen weights I remember being in my adult life. Once I complete these mini goals I will enter more mini goals. BABY STEPS!!!!!
