Okay, first for this website, my name is Desire2BThin.

I have never been skinny, but I have been significantly smaller than I am now.

In January 1999, I weighed 171. I wasn't happy with my size, but I felt much better about me, than I do now. That is the smallest I have been in my adult life.

In September 1999, I was in a terrible car accident. With all the medicine, bedrest and lack of exercise, I began to gain weight. Then in December 1999, before recovering from the first accident, I was in another car accident. Because I had not healed from the first, my injuries were even worse.

Still on medications, bedrest and no exercise, I was continuing to gain weight. I was on bedrest for eight months. During the eight months, I gained roughly about 60 lbs.

After the weight gain, I become severely depressed. By mid-2004, my weight had escalated to about 264. I have slowly lost back down to around 248.

Staying motivated and not having a great support group has drastically enabled me to lose weight.

I have started exercising regularly, AGAIN, on April 23, 2007.

I am hoping by creating this page and adding friends with my same Goals, Hopes and Desires. I will be able to achieve my goal weight.

I will be using a virtual model to track my size. If I get brave, I might take some pictures of me without my face, to show what I actually look like.

My Goals:
To lose weight through a healthy lifestyle. To gain self-esteem and self-confidence.



I would like to lose about 50 lbs by October 2007. I haven't seen my brother since July 2004 and I know that he would be proud of me if I lost weight. He is my biggest supporter in my weight loss journey and tells me I am a beautiful woman. He even cried at his wedding when I walked down the isle because he thought I was beautiful.


My Program:
I am trying to do at least 30 minutes of cardiovascular exercise 5x a week and strength training 3x a week.

I have chosen weights I remember being in my adult life. Once I complete these mini goals I will enter more mini goals. BABY STEPS!!!!!

    My weight loss is having it's ups and downs right now. Yesterday was definitely a down, but I'm hoping to turn that around starting today. It's just something that happens but it's hard to emotionally deal with at times. You can do it too. We'll all get through this together!

    Hey there! Thanx for stopping by my SparkPage. It looks like u are off & running. Keep working hard! I know what u mean about losing motivation once in a while. I had made up my mind when I began that this was going to happen & going to change right now. So far that determination has stayed with me. I haven't managed to gain anything back so far (**knocking on wood with a smile**), but I know it will happen eventually. But that's OK. I needed to see some results & some lbs start to come off & the motivation just kicked in. I CAN do this!!

    ok, I went and got that bathing suit for my water aerobics. I took a very dear and long time friend with me, for HONESTY!!! And yeah she stook by her word and was honest. But I got one that is slimming, and has a neck on it that is high, so my girlz stay put! I even jumped around in it, I must have looked like a total idiot in there jumping around in the dressing area with another women watching me. lol So tonight is my second class. I think since I am getting more organized I might just call next week my do-over and start eveything from scratch. New weight total and all. And call next week, week 1.
