My total weight loss as I write this is 118 lbs from 288 lbs!! I'd LOVE to say "Oh it was pretty easy", but I can't say that. I've needed guidance along the way. Why? This is NO easy feat!! But, thanks to SPARKS and these 2 challenges,,, I am doing it. FINALLY!!

Fitness Minutes: 186,038

My Goals:
To continue this journey successfully I want to do the following though it won't be perfectly:

Eat on the lower end of my calorie range: 1330-1440
Exercise: 60-90 minutes of exercise a day. Adding in strengthening and core workouts (easy ones)

Why do I want to lose weight? Improve my eating? Feel?

1) My body still has and likely always will damage from being a diabetic (no longer officially one my AC 1 is around 5.2 to 5.4 now and has been for a few years, but we keep me in the category due to the damage it's done. If you are prediabetic or diabetic and not taking this seriously I've had 23 surgeries on my feet, neuropathy,,, my feet are now totally numb as are my lower legs. I've stepped on a sewing machine needle and it went up into my foot in the STRAIGHT Position and I had NO pain. NOT good).
2) My back feels better without the 115 plus pounds on my body,but still it can feel better.
3) I want to just feel freer because I eat better
4) To move faster. LOL


My Program:
I've been working on eating 3 or more freggies a day. It's NOT PERFECT but there is progress!! WOOHOO I'll stay with that!!



Personal Information:
No longer using a power chair, and I've not done so now for 3 years!! WOOHOO to that!!! But, I've gone thru shoes!! I am ALL FOR THAT!! I can now walk 7500 to 10,000 steps a day.

Izzy (Cat) is MY BOSS!! LOL So she thinks.


Other Information:
I LOVE Cribbage and I do play in a local tournament and have WON!!! I'd of not done this when I was 288 lbs because I'd of needed special transportation to get there, and was severely depressed. If one is shut up inside due to health depression goes hand in hand. Thankfully the depression also lifted years ago, but if you know someone who is, please be compassionate. It's a horrible place to be.

I also paint and love reading, but of all things I love so much for activity is walking!!

    emoticon emoticon emoticon I'm grateful that the grass is growing and that I can mow it 1-2 times per week for good fitness on those days. I dig in the dirt as often as I can--yes, I love that, too. Dancing is okay when I don't have a TV on in the other room by the hubby who lives here with me! emoticon LOL! Used to dance in my kitchen quite often. On the bright side, our Y pool is opening Monday under strict rules, but I called and got a time for water walking. I think this will improve my outlook!!     Windows has retired Paint - it no longer comes with new Windows10 computers. Which I have. And I do not put apps on my phone except for my email and fitbit. I'm a fuddy-duddy. emoticon

    Hello fellow Mainer, from the county south of you! Good to hear you're staying safe during these trying times. I'll be looking forward to the state opening once again, but we really do need to practice all the safety measures, something I'm not seeing an abundance of, sadly. Fortunately I'm retired so isolating isn't a major issue for me. I do miss my family and friends however.
    Stay safe and hope you'll be able to vacation as you'd hoped.
