    HI !! Hope you'll join us on the 5% Challenge. Once your hip starts to heal,,, you can count the PT Exercises as exercise as long as the PT in total is at least 10 mins long. Even if it's sit down, or sitting down to catch your breath. We understand this,, and also remember if you can't exercise for up to 10 days to let your leaders know. Ask for a medical status, you can still work on the healthy habits to help avoid that "OH NO I GAINED when not able to move around!" thing. I've done that, more than once, so i get it.

    I'll send you an invite in case you'd like to look the team over. It's so supportive and I know 3 members who have had hip surgery who stayed on. Oops 4,, it was NOT easy for 1 of them, but the other 3 though it was hard, they did amazing well. If you can't exercise, as said above do NOT WORRY. We get that.

    HI !! Sorry I was typing to you the other night when POOF my page went. I needed to be up early so I shut off my computer.

    For the 5% it'll be active likely mid April. But, with hip surgery (as long as you are healthy enough) they get you up that day or the next day. One starts PT pretty soon after that. With surgery and not doing ones normal activity one tends to be bored, and eat more. I went UP UP UP on my weight over a year and a half of not being able to exercise (bone infection), but as I could exercise again I couldn't do much, but I did hand weights, and when I could move my foot, oh I did.

    With the 5% yes, exercise is a must (BUT!! With the surgery you can ask for a medical exemption until you can do 10 mins at a time,,,, and that can be hand weighs (1 lbs is fine) and of course when you start PT that definitely counts as exercise.

    I'd sign up if i were you, but that's up to you. Please let me know and I'll invite you on the 8th or 9th of March(usually it's 4 to 5 weeks after we sign up that we are all put on our team,, and off we go. There are some really GOOD motivational exercises (ie plans of what to do, etc, not actual exercise) before that which you can benefit from).

SHE WAS IN A WHEEL CHAIR AND BEDRIDDEN SHE JUST HAS A WONDER STORY AND SHE IS NOW DOWN 214 lbs and she looks great and healthy. Hope you enjoy her story line and all her pictures they are great.

    Thanks for commenting on my post about gaining weight before the end of the year. Isn't that a brash, scary statement but I've proved it to be true every single year. Will it happen again this year? NO NO NO I will weigh the same or less at the end of the year than I do today.
