thanks for the comments on my blog .. I do group and copy food and you're right it saves multi time. I don't group exercise since as I said in my blog I'm lazy so don't do the same thing every time I go there :(
I do also sync my fitbit with my steps so it keeps it right in front of my nose if I do less than desired walking ..

I am commenting on my own page ... I had 3 big weekends in a row that made it impossible for me to stick to the program. We had friends from out of town all 3 weekends ... the first was the Elmira Maple Syrup Festival which to me is just a big food festival with the most amazing food on earth! I was actually good at the Festival, it was the rest of the weekend that I fell down The second weekend was Easter and I had 11 people over for dinner - need I say more? This past weekend I held a 50th birthday party for a friend of mine and it was pot luck. The food was absolutely fantastic! While I allowed for certain foods in my journal that day I just couldn't stick to them - I had to try a bit of everything. I don't know if that was the "guilty hostess" in me, or the fact that it was all so good!
I am trying to live by the 80/20 rule, but why is it that I don't just gain a pound on the weekend, I gain 3! That's hard to keep overcoming. I just get back to where I was and wham, another event. I was supposed to go to a baby shower this weekend for an employee's wife - they are Greek and the food would be ridiculous. It was her last baby shower that completely sunk me and I never recovered ... I am sending a gift and won't be attending ;) ! I have a hard time telling even a little lie, so I was fretting about how to gracefully get out of it, but low and behold I have to help (probably end up doing it myself) install an electronic fence for our puppy who keeps escaping. Thank God I have no more events planned for a little while and I am hopeful that now I can refocus and stay there!
I know that overall my problem is not so much watching what I eat, it's exercising I don't like it and don't find time for it. I don't even like walking (but I love to bike ). My husband and kids won't join me and the neighbours I do know don't bike ... I need a buddy to bike with.
I then decided that when I went to the gym years ago I used to enjoy the treadmill while listening to my iPod, so I started looking into that. I researched it and decided on a Sole Treadmill, but can't really afford a brand new one. I found one on Kijiji, but the buyer decided to keep it because it was going to be impossible to get out of her house! I really think I would have used that, so now I'm in a bit of a funk - that was one exercise thing I could have maybe stuck to ... hopefully!
So right now I am feeling very frustrated and trying to pick myself up and get back on the band wagon. Okay, as soon as I finish typing this sentence, I am going to put on my running shoes and go for a walk.
If anyone has any tips for me, I'm all ears! I love the motivational stuff, but what ends up happening is I get so wrapped up in reading sparkpeople articles, I don't get up and go! I'm still new at this, so maybe in time it will get better.

HI! .. Thanks for the lovely comments on my blog and liking what/how I write.. I'm an accountant but I've always thought I could write (well maybe not).
I love your 80/20 ideas too .. same as in business .. I think that's why I get so frustrated because the 80/20 works in business and much of business can be applied to your life.
Good luck on your journey .. you will be awesome! 3934 days ago
