I like the suggestion someone gave you on one of your blogs -- to find additional ways to measure progress, such as how you feel, amount of energy, how your clothing fits, etc. (I recommend taking waist, hip, bust measurements too. That's even more accurate that guessing how your clothes fit.)
But, don't throw out the scale. It helps to keep you accountable.
Ultilize all of the above. And, if you see progress in any of them, it's still progress. It is not unusual, for instance, for my weight to fluctuate daily, or even weekly. I look for monthly progress. But, I also look for progress in other areas, and I can usually pat myself on the back for progress in one area. That encourages me that I'm going in the right direction, and that soon the scale will move too. :-)
Twenty pounds in 13 weeks sounds like a do-able goal. But, even 10-13 pounds in 13 weeks would be enough to feel good. It would still indicate that you're moving in the right direction.
