Introduction Text My husband and I love to travel. We have done quite a lot in Europe, China, Thailand and the Caribbean. We love to watch the travel shows on TV. You learn so much from traveling and it truly broadens your horizons. One thing I have learned is that people are people- all basically the same--all over the world!

I would like to take charge of my weight and get healthy. I hate to exercise, but at my age it becomes a necessity, not a choice unless I want to deal with the alternative.

I am staying within my calorie goals and eating healthier- working on more veggies. My downfall is not exercising. I am working on this, making slow progress.

I live in a small town in northern Illinois. My husband and I have been married 51 years and have 2 sons. We have one grandson who is the joy of our life right now. We have a new rescue puppy named Luke. I am a nurse on the brink of retirement. Just having a hard time making the big decision.
