I tried all sorts of diets in my 40-plus years dieting, and SP has become my one-and-only sane healthy lifestyle site. For me, the long-run is more important that speed! I want this to stick with me for the rest of my life! I usually encourage newcomers to track everything, gradually increase exercise, plan ahead, read all the motivational spark pages and join Teams for fun. Read the Message Boards regularly and blogs your Spark Friends write and be sure to reply with encouragement and support, cuz that'll help you even more than it does them! If you haven't yet, I suggest you read The Spark, the book the founder wrote. I really captures the essence of the Spark approach. Get your Spark ON!
