I have used SparkPeople on a few occasions to lose weight, the first time was way back in 2006. Each time I have lost 40-50 pounds and met my goal weight, maintained for a couple of years and gradually slipped back into old habits, regained the weight and had to start over again. Sometimes the slip was caused by getting lazy with eating habits, stress at work/home or injury that prevented me from running (the only type of cardio I can tolerate and stick with).

My goal is to be fit, healthy and MAINTAIN a reasonable weight. Since I enjoy cooking and baking, I want to incorporate healthy recipes along with a few treats. I hope to improve the health of my family along the way.

I restarted SP on Oct 1 of 2019 and as of Jan 15, 2020, I have lost 33 pounds. I have another 20 to reach my goal and then I need to learn how to really maintain that new weight. I need to be more diligent about monitoring and tracking on occasion even at maintenance so it doesn't slip out of control.

My Goals:
2020: I want to lose 20 pounds by April by continuing with my current fitness approach (walking with running intervals) and healthy eating.


My Program:
My goal is to return to my desired weight by walking daily and using HIIT sessions on the treadmill with running segments. I also want to get out of the habit of mindless snacking on foods that end up making me feel gross.

I am a full-time working mom living in Atlantic Canada with my husband and 16-year old son.
