Hello, Sparkers! Thank you so much for visiting my Spark page! I'm Jennifer, a 51-year-old married Texan with two children and two grown step-children.

I joined SP on January 1, 2011, and it has been such a wonderful experience. I simply LOVE this site! It is filled with wonderful, supportive people and lots of great information, resources and tools. And most of all, I love the support of my Spark friends.

In 2011 and 2012, I lost 100 pounds. I am here to do it again. But this time for good! Most of all, I want to learn the habits to live a healthy and fit life.

Action Steps:

1. Achieve 600+ monthly fitness minutes.

2. Eat healthy, balanced diet (whole grain, lean protein, low-fat dairy, heart-healthy fat, and 5+ servings fruits and veggies daily).

3. Drink 8+ glasses of water daily.

4. Sleep 8+ hours nightly.

5. Log on to SP daily.



Personal Information:
I'm Jennifer from Texas. I am a wife, a mother of two, and a math teacher. My goal in 2011 was to lose 100 pounds (goal met). My 2019 goal is to lose 100 pounds again, and keep the weight off for good.

    You don't know me. I think you were heading out as I was just getting started. Thank you so much for all the motivation you provided me. I was able to drop 110 pounds and even began running...completing several 5Ks and ran all but 5 min of my last one. Like you, I fell off the band wagon. My inability to exercise the way I wanted to after surgery was the Jenga piece that caused the entire tower to topple. I've regained 50 pounds, but am determined that the relapse will end there. I am so very happy to see you back on SP and to watch your success again.
