I have been a regular on SP for 2 years now and LOVE it! I started homeschooling my 4 little girls this school year and must challenge myself, daily, as to how and where I am going to fit in exercise! I have lost 30lbs by making small goals and working towards them-nothing extreme-just simple fitness and nutrition goals. I have ran a 10k race & Half Marathon. I tell anyone who will listen how wonderful this site is!

***January 2011***
I choose to stay on track to lose weight. I joined sparkpeople July 2010 but did nothing with it. Kinda browsed the site with no goals in mind. I just wasn't ready. Finally in January 2011, I saw the bootcamp challenge and thought I would give it a try. I've been motivated ever since. Here I go. I am very excited to see what my potential is!

TODAY IS A GOOD DAY TO HAVE A GOOD DAY.
WHEN YOU WANT SOMETHING YOU'VE NEVER HAD, YOU HAVE TO DO SOMETHING YOU'VE NEVER DONE.
MAKE EVERYDAY COUNT...LIVE PURPOSEFULLY, LIVE ENERGETICALLY, LIVE COMPLETELY.
DISCIPLINE IS REMEMBERING WHAT YOU WANT.
IF WE DEFEND OUR HABITS, WE HAVE NO INTENTION OF QUITTING THEM.
SUCCESS IS A JOURNEY, NOT A DESTINATION. FOCUS ON THE PROCESS.
SUCCESS IS THE SUM OF SMALL EFFORTS, REPEATED DAY IN AND DAY OUT.
BY EXERCISING PATIENCE WITH ALL PEOPLE, YOU ARE ALLOWING THEM TO BECOME BETTER AND TO LEARN ON THEIR OWN THROUGH GENTLE GUIDANCE.

My Goals:
Eat clean.
Run my very first road race October 30, 2011...a 10 k! DONE 1:06:57
Run a half marathon in Sept. 2012. DONE 2:29:35
Run a HM in Sept.2013
I need to run a 5k race in 2013 + more races to improve my times.
My Program:
Run 5 days a week.
ST 4 days a week.
Bike once a week.
Stretch.
Calorie count.
Get involved in whatever activity my kiddos want to enjoy for the day(swimming, skipping, trampoline, biking, soccer, badminton)-just to name a few-ha!
Personal Information:
I have 1 son who is my second born. His name is Evan. He passed away at 18 months and his death forever changed me. It was such a sad time for my family. My only strength was to turn to God. I have chosen to live this life I lead the best I know how. Happiness does not come easy for most but you can choose to wake up and have a good day. I choose to be positive for myself, my husband and my children.
Other Information:
We raise chickens for the healthy eggs and meat.
I want to say that all of you inspire me. You are part of my morning ritual which includes a cup of coffee while reading your pages. It's a great start to the day and gets me motivated to get my workouts in. THANK-YOU!!
I am a homeschooling, stay-at-home mom to 4. I love being outside with them. I hope to be a role model by trying to use the space around my home for activity.
