Introduction Text It's time to strip off the layers of fat that I've been hiding behind so I can rediscover the strong, confident woman that I really am.

I started this journey to reach my goal weight by the time I turned fifty. Life got in the way and I didn't meet that goal. I did lose twenty pounds and was feeing healthier and more energized, but then life got in the way again and I gained back that twenty pounds plus an additional ten. The key is to get up and continuing to take steps towards attaining that goal. I will reach my goal weight some day - even if it takes longer than I'd like. Updated Weight Goals: 185 - 1st 10% Lost *** Achieved 2/4/18 169 - No Longer Obese! 167 - 2nd 10% Lost 150 - 3rd 10% Lost 140 - Healthy Weight! 135 - 4th 10% & GOAL!

I joined a health club in January 2012 and was in a routine of using the treadmill and worked out with weights three days each week. And then I started chaffing at my rigid schedule and fell off the wagon. I returned to the gym recently, and started making progress again, but now the gym is closing and I need to find a new workout home. I really prefer walking outdoors, but that's hard during the winter months since I work during the day.
