I have been on Sparkpeople for about 7 years now. It has definitely been a journey full of ups and downs and along the way I have experienced a deep shift in my outlook on weight loss and body image. My journey is no longer about how many pounds I lose or about a magic number on the scale, but about how I feel and about how fit I am. These days I am focused on exercising consistently and eating to fuel that exercise and I don't have a weight goal in mind anymore. I have had to fight bulimia for a few years now and it has taught me that food restriction only causes food rebellion so now I eat intuitively instead of dieting and overexercising. I am at peace with my body now and work to be my healthiest version of myself. I am disabled with bipolar I disorder, PTSD, and anxiety disorder and I also have physical disabilities with a back injury, injured Achille's tendons, bad knees, sciatica, carpal tunnel, and fibromyalgia, so I have to work out in a chair instead of doing standing exercises. But I believe it is possible to reach your fitness goals despite any limitations and am working towards my goals in a way that works for me.

My Goals:
My main goal is to focus on exercise. Nutrition is important to me, as well, but my overarching goal is to have an athletic mindset. My biggest fitness goals are to master yoga, be able to work out standing up, to lift heavy weights, and to get my black belt in karate.

My Program:
my program starting out is fairly simple. I exercise 5-6 times a week and have 1-2 rest days a week. I do chair workouts and my program is cardio, strength training, yoga, core work, and stretching.

Personal Information:
I am a Buddhist nun with a son who turns 10 in March. I love to read and enjoy comedies and cartoons. I am disabled but fitness is still a huge part of my life. I have had an eating disorder for years and am in recovery and blog about my journey through diet culture and intuitive eating. Feel free to follow my blog.

Other Information:
I try to blog daily so feel free to follow my blog. I try to be honest about my experiences with health and fitness, what I have learned from having a history of ED, losing 91 pounds, gaining it all back plus more, and being in recovery from bulimia and learning to focus on health not weight!!
