Hi Karen, Sorry to hear of your fall and what it all caused. I fell last January directly on my knee with all my weight which at the time was 374. I too thought I was going to have to have knee surgery due to the intense pain I was in and that there is no cartilage left on that particular knee. But I had a viscosupplement injection and that didn't seem to work at first, but it really did.It was just that the ortho doctor said it would take anywhere from six months to a year to heal. I started taking 2000 iu of vitamin D3 in August and by September the pain was gone all of it finally. So it did take about 9 months to heal. I'm so thankful it did I was really worried about having knee surgery being as heavy as I was. I don't know if any of this would help you or not but I wanted to share my experience so in case there was something that might help you out. I have been terrible keeping up with spark friends but every time I sign in I think of you. I hope that all goes well for you and that your recovery will not be too difficult cause pain stinks!. Thank you for being a friend. I will do my best to keep in contact from now on. Keep me posted on how things are going. 3301 days ago

Hello to my dear friend. I hope you had a nice Christmas; mine was good.
Hope you are doing a lot better. I have a friend in Spokane that had knee surgery and is doing fine. Was heavy set also. She has been on this natural stuff and has caused her to lose weight, doesn't need surgery on the other knee. She wants me to take the stuff, but I haven't tried it yet. I can get more info for you, if you want me to. 3302 days ago
