Hi! I'm a stay at home mom with a wonderful husband a sweet and precious little boy that just turned three. I am a Christian and my faith is very important to me. I love my family and the Lord with all my heart! I want to do the best thing for them by becoming a healthy person and treating my body like a temple it's supposed to be as it says in 1 Corinthians 3:16

This isn't my first rodeo when it comes to weight loss! I've never been the "skinny girl," although my weight has had it's ups and downs over the years. But I was at my heaviest when I was pregnant with my son. I'll admit for some reason I believed that when your pregnant you can eat whatever you want and after the baby is born it will all just float away! Guess what, it doesn't. There was a short period of time in high school when I was very big into fitness but that time was long gone. I didn't even attempt one sit up my entire pregnancy. I ended up gaining 50 pounds and only 10 of that was baby. The hardest part of eating whatever you want is it becomes habit, and the habit doesn't disappear overnight. For the next year and a half I was still eating like I was pregnant, and still looked like I was too. I even gained the 10 pounds back that I'd lost. So I was a total of sixty pounds overweight and any extra weight on a 5'2" frame feels like a lot. I was in the worst shape of my life and had zero energy. At the time I contributed that to being a new mom going on very little sleep but now I know that was only part of it, especially since I felt the exact same way after he started sleeping through the night. About six months before my son's second birthday I had had enough. I grabbed the bull by the horns and just went for it. I did a lot of praying and started reading the book "Fit For My King." I ended up losing 7 pounds in two months. The first week in Feb. 2010 I joined Weight Watchers with my mother-in-law. A week after my son's birthday I had reached my goal. I then decided to set a new goal even lower.

That was only a year ago. But due to a change in budget as well as other factors I stopped attending. Since I had reached my first goal I bought in to the lie that I would be "safe." I decided to treat myself a little bit. I figured, "Hey, I worked hard so I should have a week off!" Well, that week turned into two, and two turned into six, and six tured into...you get the idea. Fortuately I haven't gained everything I lost back. So, here I am again with a new goal but also with just a little more knowledge. This time I'm doing it for a lifestyle change, not just to see the numbers on the scale go down! I'm glad I'm here and I can't wait to meet new people who are strugging with the same things I am! I know we can do it!

My Goals:
-Lose 35 pounds

-RUN a 5K

-Keep up with my son

-Eat to live, not live to eat

-Be in a single digit clothing size

My Program:
Exercise at least 5 days a week

Cardio Monday through Friday and sometimes Satuday if I'm feeling generious ;)

Strength Training Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Staying within my calorie range

A little about me:

-I love pasta, that's going to be one of the hardest things to cut back on.

-I listen to mainly Christian genre music. Bands like Audio Adrenaline, Tenth Avenue North, Tobymac and Switchfoot are my favorites.

-I hate coffee. Love Coke Zero.

-I love Beverly Lewis and Karen Kingsbury books.

-I am a scrapbooker. I started after my son was born now I have found it is a passion of mine. I do other crafts as well but scrapbooking is my favorite.
