Monarch of All I Survey
I'm the Queen of my own little castle. Long live the Queen!
Unfortunately, I am also the parlormaid, the chambermaid, the housemaid, the kitchenmaid, the scullery maid, the gardenmaid, the Home Secretary and the Chancellor of the Exchequer.
Long live the staff!
I get many fine workouts at the end of a hoe, weedeater or vacuum. I also have a workout friend, and we hike along the river for an hour each morning.

I reached my goal of high school weight in 2010. That was a good primary goal, because I had been only a little chubby in my teens. Then I stalled on the longest plateau in history. I wanted to lose a little more, but it seemed impossible. I tried EVERY plateau-busting suggestion I found! Just recently I began alternate day fasting, which worked well for my son. Finally I broke that pesky plateau!
I am concerned about developing age-related chronic diseases like dementia , and research shows that intermittant fasting helps in these areas...and a little weight-loss is a bonus!
My fitness goal is to to be the kids' "Extreme Grandma" and just keep moving, so there's no question about when they should put me on the other side of the flowerbed.
