2019 ~ Thankful for SP and friends, for ongoing inspiration from leaders and team mates of 100 DWL and Beck studies, 5% Challenges, for good health and so many other blessings!

2018 ~ Continuing to move forward, balancing a healthy and fit lifestyle with staying present, thankful, positive with growing awareness that "knowledge is power. What we think and believe is more powerful than we realize".

2017~ Is all about Choices...My choices. I know I must continue Sparking and making those daily choices that I set in place in 2016 that help me to be as fit and healthy as possible to maintain my goal weight.

2016 ~ My goals this year are:
To slow down, be mindful when eating my food ~ focusing on plant based, whole foods, avoiding sugar and processed foods. . Add more steps to my day.

Keep challenging myself by taking classes in yoga teacher training, add more fun exercise with bike.riding,swimming...

I will try my best everyday to live a healthy and fit lifestyle. NO more beating myself up and NO more quitting...ever.

2015~ Completed 2nd part of yoga teacher training
Earned CYI credential~ Certified yoga instructor
2016~Taking part 3 of yoga teacher training

Reach out to others to encourage and be encouraged for success.

To get light enough, fit enough and strong enough to play tennis again!

My Program:
Most critical for maintenance is little to no sugar, white flour or processed foods. I do eat some but I start to crave them and to gain if I eat very much. I have free range eggs almost everyday. I get most of my fat from avocados, (lucky to have my own much of the year) olive or coconut oil. I eat as many veggies as possible and a lot of seasonal fruits.

I track steps and have a goal of 8-10K daily which I meet much of the time but no beating myself up when I do not.

I continue to give my body a rest from food 10 to 14 hours each night

Visit SP daily

Mostly plant based diet

Exercise~Water aerobics, yoga, strength training, walking

Never give anyone the power to 'make' you feel something you don't choose to feel.

emoticon emoticon Thank you very much for your comments on my Spark page, I hope it will continue to be like that next year too with no extra symptoms of my MS, time will tell. Your day 97 looks amazing though Maria and my eating plan is very similar to yours. Love and hugs Donna xxx emoticon emoticon

Thanks for the Spark Goodie and comment. I dislike challenges that (to me) seem to encourage "lose at any cost". I've stopped watching The Biggest Loser for the same reason, because checking out past winners online, many have regained some, or all, of the weight they lost. There is no quick and easy way to lose weight. Your approach seems balanced and sensible. This is my first 5% challenge, and I'm posting the weekly goals on my fridge so that I see it every time I'm in the kitchen... I need the reminders!
