Hi all :) My name is Elizabeth. I've struggled with weight and self-esteem for as long as I can remember. When I was younger, I was healthy and active but still saw myself as "fat" when I compared myself to my classmates and couldn't seem to shake the habit of comparing myself to others. I still do it, though I try to consciously stop myself from doing it now. That's one goal I hope to accomplish with Spark. I hope to teach myself to value my body and to treat it better, through exercise and eating healthy and loving myself. I have helpers on my journey: family, friends, my husband Dan, my adorable cat Abygail :) who love me and support me, but even with them I feel lonely in this journey sometimes so I sought Spark (thanks to my Mom for tipping me off to it).

I'm excited to be a part of Spark people and hope that I will be able to lose and KEEP OFF the weight, live a healthy lifestyle, and learn to appreciate and love my body.

I'll need lots of encouragement and I'd love to be a cheerleader if anyone needs one :)

1) Eat healthy
2) exercise everyday
3) No soda!
4) Stress relief (Tai Chi- great exercise and great for breathing)

Hiya :) I'm Elizabeth. I lived in upstate New York until I moved to Cali in 2011 to live with my now husband Dan. We're working together to be more healthy :)

Other Information:
I love reading (from Harry Potter, Graceling, Unearthly, to Twilight, Shakespeare, anything really :) I have many tv shows I watch ( Chesapeake Shores, When Calls the Heart, The Good Witch, Hallmark channel, Dr Who). I love music and nature.
