Thanks for your kind comments on my blog. Yes I am English apparently. For years I was brought up believing that my maternal grandmother had Irish blood. When I started looking into my ancestry, it turned out she was an Essex Girl through and through. My dad's mum [also English to her core - with a smattering of Welsh] used to sing Irish rebellion songs so maybe we all just somehow felt an affinity?
Further investigations led me to discover French ancestry [centuries back] on my mother's side, which possibly explains my at times bolshy attitude? Meanwhile, I'm still hoping against hope I'll find a slither of Irish blood somewhere in my family history.

Thanks for stopping by my 7/7 blog. I iron weekly some of the clothes, like daughter's work clothes, hubby and my shirts, his shorts, pants, and whatever ends up in the laundry that needs ironing. I DON"T iron sheets, pajamas, or things that say "do not iron." I've gotten into the habit of ironing when my grandmother used to iron hubby and my clothes weekly. I guess I was spoiled that she did that for me. Now I've picked up the habit and so....

ps.. thank You for celebrating my 30 lbs milestone with me. It was a tough one to accomplish and having your support and encouragement made this victory that much more sweeter. Thanks again and have a most wonderful and amazing day! Hugs.
