Let's Roar! Summer is here and we'll get into this challenge with strength, hope and beauty!

In all the years I have spent here on Spark, I have finally learn one thing : being kind and forgiving to myself is the way to finally lose the weight and keep it off.

Not putting so much pressure to be perfect makes it easier to climb back on the horse.

The trip and the week after have been disastrous weight wise. Gained back a few pounds. Now back to being serious Got to make sure I use fully the summer challenge

And, apparently it is true. So far, the urges to eat sugar or chocolate or other less nutritive foods has lowered a lot. I am still losing slowly but that was the way I wanted to do it.
I feel better and apparently I look better too. So I will continue what I am doing since it seems to be working.

My Goals:
I am making small changes. I want to lose pounds and never come back here (here being weighing 275 pounds) So I want those changes to be sustainable.

My main focus now is to think before eating and to read labels. I aim to eat no food with ingredients that are not really recognized by my body as being food. (preservatives, palm oil, sugarlose, fructose, any other ose...) If I want cookies, I have to make them from scratch. out with most of what the food industry is trying to put in my mouth to make me eat more and make their profits grow.

My Program:
- eat as much veggies and fruits as I can in a day
- Make sure I get plenny of protein in my breakfast and lunch
- walk as much as possible (try and improve total distance walked each month)
- keep a positive attitude
- Be kind to myself and not make myself feel guilty
- go to the gym 3 times a week
- I also instated a cash reward program for myself. Cash that I can spend on myself without judgment. No need to ask if I should, if I really need it or if I may have something at home that could do.

When I weight, for 4 consecutive days :
- under 270.......... $40.00 - Done Jan 19th 2019
- under 265.......... $40.00
- day 1 : April 3rd 2019,
- day 2 :
- day 3 :
- day 4 :
- under 260.......... $60.00
- under 255.......... $40.00

Tuesday: Busy day yesterday. Made a grocery store run and good thing. John, Karleigh and Ry came over early in the evening. They wanted to meet Lilly. Ry wanted to take Lilly home! Told him no, she likes it here, but he can visit! And I asked him what his 3 cats (Mittens, Simba and Biscuit) would think!

Then Clara came over so we all visited. Ended up having a huge salad and they had pizza with it. Nice time!

Little Lilly was totally pooped when they left! Slept, and slept and slept! Had to wake her up this morning about an hour after we got up so we could get her out!

Today, have to get to the bank, and post office. No big deal. Chillaxing.

Then Lilly sees the vet on Wednesday. I think she’ll like him. Mr. Spot did.

    That’s the news from here!

Monday: busy day yesterday w/Lilly. She’s getting the hang of going outside for potty. She’d been doing well in her foster home, but change of scenery – she has to get used to it. She’s a quick study, though.

Today I have to make a grocery store run. That’ll be the big ‘outside’ chore today.

Still very windy, cold and raw. Have to get a little coat for Lilly. At 6 lbs. she’s going to need it!

Have to get a check up scheduled for her w/the vet, and a grooming appointment down the road.

Hugs and have a great Monday!

Sunday: Well, she’s home. Lilly is making herself right @ home! Exploring every nook and cranny! She’s so smart! Teaching her to respond to her name, which she does. Now working on sit and OUCH when she bites with her puppy teeth!

    HUGS and blessings.

Have another meeting this morning. Hopefully it won’t be a long one. But, prepared for any eventuality.

Temps supposed to drop this afternoon and get to 31 overnight. BRRRrrrr. Going to put another blanket on the bed.

    TGIF. Hugs and enjoy.

Thursday: Bright sunshine yesterday. That felt good. The weather is going to take a slide downward, but I think today is still supposed to be nice.

Have to hit the grocery store today. My freggies need to be replenished.

    Here’s to a great Thursday!
