For the past 7 years, I have gone out and partied, ate food very late at night, and have been to numerous dinners and birthday outings. I started going to the gym January 2008 and continued until May 2008, and was seeing results (even though I was not that heavy back then), but due to my new job and the schedule I had, I didn't make it to the gym regularly. Every so often I got back in the habit of going to the gym but unfortunately my weight just kept going up. For the past 3 years I've been at the same weight, with several 20lb weight losses (and gaining it back). In August 2013, I lost my mom to cancer. That whole ordeal was stressful, and after her passing I became somewhat of a hermit with no motivation to go out and party with friends, which ended up being a good thing because I started to go to the gym. Well, every summer I tend to gain weight because I completely fall off the wagon by having a carefree attitude and focusing all my energy on being at the beach and enjoying the weather rather than working out and that is exactly what happened this year. I tend to lose weight in winter, whether or not I'm trying to. This time, I'm determined to get out there and lose it for good. I'm nearing 30, and want to be comfortable in my own skin. I have a great attitude, I'm fun to be around, and I think I'm pretty...I just feel like my weight is the only thing holding me back!
