Fitness Minutes: 150,957

My Goals:
I would like to lose about 25 lbs. However, I do not want to focus on the number.

1. Eat a more plant based diet.
2. Eat more fiber - over 35 grams per day
3. Move every day



My Program:
5% Summer Challenge (2019) Exercise Commitment

Aim for 60 minutes of weight bearing exercise per day per doctor's instructions.
Swim one day a week, usually Thursday.
Aim for 15-20 minutes of Yoga per day.

5% Summer Challenge Nutritional Plan

Incorporate more calcium rich foods into diet per doctor's instructions.
Track food and measure foods instead of estimating portion size.
Continue to aim for 35 grams of fiber a day.
Aim for 5-9 servings of fruits and vegetables.
Stay within calorie range 1500-1700.
Eat until 80% full,
Weight Loss Goal - 9 lbs.



Personal Information:
I am 58 this year. Five years ago I had a hysterectomy and four years ago I had knee surgery. I have put on some pounds. I do believe that the hysterectomy has thrown all I know about eating and weight loss out the window. What I used to do in not working anymore.

I work as an accountant in a CPA office so much of my day is sitting in a chair. As I get older I have noticed more aches and pains. As I age I want to be active so I can travel and enjoy life. My parents are home bound and I can see their struggles. I do not want that for myself.


Other Information:
I have two dogs. Corkie and Maximus.

I am married to a retired firefighter. We have been together 36 years.

    LOL I was RIGHT!! The peach WAS DISGUSTING!! I DID try it, but I did NOT finish it. Grin as I knew, but hey sometimes when we keep trying something we learn to like it.

    HI Fae!! I decided for the fruit peach (which I expect will be DISGUSTING, LOL but it has to be new or not eaten often. I tend to eat the few same ones I like. For the veggie, hummus, which is very rare I eat, but I know I like that.

    LOL I hate these freggie stuff, but I KNOW they are GOOD for me. I HATED water with a PASSION, but now that's 97% of what I drink. Soooo MAYBE there's hope????

    I find the diamond painting so very relaxing once I got the hang of it, which happened fast. I did get some pens that can do 2, 3 , 7 and 9 diamonds at the same time, but I actually MUCH MORE enjoy just doing them 1 by 1,, and hey if I live forever they MIGHT get done!! LOL LOL LOL!!

    They are rather inexpensive on Amazon.

    HI Fae!!

    Diamond Painting is so neat!! It's tiny little gems that you put onto a sticky picture with a special pen much as when one did painting by number. Only it's diamond by number.

    Here's a youtube video if you are curious. If you do get one, I'd look for one that says "FULL" in it, for some you only put some diamonds on and the rest is just a photo type picture. I'd also start with a small one to begin. LOL MY OWN ERROR!! Both of mine are quite large. Hoping to finish them before I die of very old age. Grin.
