Hello, I am a wife, mother and work full time. As a family, we love to hike, bike, and ski. I joined SparkPeople to help me achieve my goal of a healthier lifestyle. When it comes to diets I have tried almost all of them. I came across the Ketogenic Diet in 2016 and that has become my way of eating. I have joined a few communities on SparkPeople and FaceBook that give guidance and support for this way of eating. Each year I do become healthier by staying active. I have changed my southern eating habits to have the energy to enjoy a more active lifestyle.

Tore my ACL & meniscus in 2014 and had surgery that same year. It has been a real struggle recovering from the surgery and I have gained more weight on top of what I had already needed to lose. I also suffer from Hypothyroidism and have been working with my doctor trying to find the right dosage. It has been a real struggle these past few years. I am on a journey to achieve ultimate healthiness inside and out.

2017 Goals:
Be a size 12 by Dec 31st
Workout for 30 minutes each day


My Program:
Ketogenic Diet - Low Carb High Fat way of eating. Consume 20 grams or less of carbs per day.

Personal Information:
Originally from the South but currently living in Utah in the beautiful Wasatch Mountains.

The husband and I are planning on a trip to Ireland for our 30th anniversary. So I want to be healthy and fit for all the sight seeing and Irish pubs. I have 5 years to achieve my goal and will be ready by 2022!!!!


Other Information:
I love crafts of many kind, but I am an avid crocheter. I can spend hours just crocheting.

Love to read mysteries and science fiction.

    One mile at a time works best for me. You will have to let me know how it goes. We have such a mess in our streets that I’m not having much luck jogging. Maybe next week will be better. Spring has to come eventually!

    Thank you for the advice on my blog. I was pretty happy eating healthy and I wasn’t missing sugar. Then I switched jobs, ended up having less time to cook and then food gets really boring quick. Enter sweet treats!
