9/23/11 - I just checked today and realized I am no longer obese! Yay me! I started my weight loss journey exactly on 9/7/10 and since then I've lost 62 lbs. So excited and happy and I feel amazing! Yeah, it's been a wild and bumpy road...happy and frustrating moments, but boy is it all worth it! Looking forward to the next 38 lbs...Let's do this!!!

2/2011 - Hello! My name is Abby. I don't know if I'm considered a yo-yo dieter...maybe a little but I'm willing to change that. I've been overweight since I was a little kid and I believe I'm considered obese now. I lost about 50 pounds when I was a senior in high school through a crash diet and Xenadrin. I'm not proud that I did it that way but I was very happy and excited about losing weight really fast. As soon as I got pregnant, I gained everything back and more. After giving birth to my daughter, I was heavy again for a long time. After a few years, I wanted to lose weight again and lost about 20 lbs also with an "herbal" pill. I hit a plateau and stopped the pills but I stayed that weight until I got pregnant again but it didn't go through. I gained all the 20 lbs. When I decided to lose weight yet again, I decided to do it naturally and healthier so I lost 7 lbs with the 5 factor diet. That didn't last long because I got pregnant yet again. I waited after 15 months of my son's birth since I was breastfeeding and I could not wait to start losing weight again. So since September of 2010, I already lost 30 lbs the natural and healthy way by choosing the right foods and daily exercise. Hopefully we don't get any "surprises" any time soon, lol. But I'm motivated to keep this weight off and keep going. I'm so ready to do this!!!

My Goals:
My goal is to be healthy and be in my normal BMI range. I'm tired of being labeled obese so I'm getting rid of that. I'm currently at the high end range of overweight but I'm working hard to be normal because in this country I'm considered ab-normal, haha. I want to be able to join my kids in their activities and be able to do house chores without feeling short of breath or lazy. I want to be sexy! Lastly, I want to live a long, healthy life.


My Program:
Once in a while I track in my food especially when I feel like I'm falling off the wagon. The only problem is, it causes me to stress out because I get frustrated when I don't see results. I truly believe there's progress when I don't worry too much about it as long as I keep in mind to choose healthier options and everything in moderation. When that doesn't work, I remember the bikini diet! I workout at least 4-6 days a week which include jogging, walking, DVDs, moving around a lot, and getting off my butt!!!

My name is Abigail, but many call me Abby for short. I'm Filipino but I've lived in Los Angeeles the majority of my life. I'm married with 2 kids. I work at UCLA as an RN in the OR.
