Kudos to you for joining us here on the Raw Foodies Team. This will be one of the best decisions you have ever made. Sparkers come here and join this great team for a multitude of reasons. They may be curious about the health benefits of Raw Food and join to learn all about eating Raw. Many join for the weight loss. Many join the Team for a Detox. There are a great many people who do the Raw Food Diet as a Detox but then they realize how alive they feel and how the pounds melted away so effortlessly they decide to continue to eat this way. There are others who will join this Team for the health benefits of a Raw Food Diet. A diet based on raw food can reverse diabetes, arthritis (I personally have experienced this. I went off all of my arthritis meds after only a few weeks), heart disease, cancer (that is how I became involved with the Raw Food Diet when my sister was diagnosed with Lymphoma), eliminates migraines, the list goes on and on.
So join us and learn how to make the transition from SAD (Standard American Diet) to a healthy Raw Food Diet. You will be happy you did!

Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful comments on my page. I am so sorry that you're going through all of the medical stuff with your mom. I am impressed you have time to Spark!
My neighbors took care of their son's dog. The dog whined all day and escaped a lot. He just needed to get back to the country and be with other dogs and kids. Once he got back to his old home he was fine. I'm sure you'll find that to be the case when your mom gets home. It's amazing how much animals can perceive. Sure makes me think long and hard about becoming 100% veggie!
As for my job, it is only 25-30 minutes from home. There is a major construction project -- the biggest stimulus project in the country -- on the highway near my house. I can exit before the construction starts and take back ways to the office. And, I'm between two malls and an awesome grocery store!
As for the work, it's fast paced and very unstructured. I am working at a level I haven't had to in a long time. I am doing HR work that is extremely basic, while also trying to implement some standard operating procedures and enhance processes. It's not very challenging, but it does keep me busy.
My shoulder is giving me a really hard time so I'm not sure how much longer I'll be able to sit in front of a computer for hours at a time. I'm at the stage of my career where work/life balance is more important than climbing the ladder, anyway.
Thanks for checking on me, and please let me know how Mom is doing.
